Ron Bercovitch — Founder
I’m Ron. I started Solid Web Designs because too many small businesses were paying good money for websites that were quietly working against them.
Not broken exactly — just slow, generic, hard to change, and locked behind a monthly plan nobody could cancel without losing the whole thing. The owner would show it to me apologetically, like it was their fault.
So I do the opposite. Every site is designed and coded from a blank page, by me, for the specific business paying for it. There is no template underneath. There is no agency layer marking up the work. And when it launches, every file, account and login is transferred into your name.
In practice, that means you are hiring one person who does the whole thing — the design, the build, the copy, the search setup, the launch, and the walkthrough afterwards. When you email, you reach the person who wrote the code. That is unusual, and it is the entire point.
Over the last few years I’ve shipped work for gyms, landscapers, law firms, auto shops, retailers, and a fair number of software products. Different industries, same job: make it obvious what you do, make it effortless to contact you, and get out of the way.
You will not get a proposal full of words designed to make the invoice feel bigger. If I can’t explain why something is worth paying for, it probably isn’t.
The quote is agreed before work starts and it does not creep. If you want something added mid-build, I price it separately and you decide.
I take a limited number of projects at once. That is a deliberate constraint — it is the only way one person delivers work that holds up.
Readable code, documented setup, everything in your name. A site you cannot leave is not an asset, it is a subscription.
Tell me what your business does and what you want the site to accomplish. You’ll get a straight answer on approach, timeline and price — no sales call, no obligation.
